Afghan War veteran and filmmaker. My father is a railfan and worked briefly for the New York Central and I guess it rubbed off. Always wanted to take to take some long train trips and when I came back from deployment, I finally did.

So far I have taken the Sunset Limited (LA to San Antonio), the Coast Starlight, the Empire Builder and the Lake Shore Limited. The Coast Starlight and it's Parlor Car was the most enjoyable.

Hungary by the future Danube Express Luxury Train

I recently returned from Hungary where I was taking a familiarization trip on the future Danube Express. The Danube Express is a new luxury rail service that will serve central and eastern Europe, beginning in April 2008. The Danube Express invited sellers and promoters of rail travel and rail vacations to experience the service and see their classic rail cars, as well as the progress on their new deluxe sleeping cars.
